Peace! My name is Amber / Stony / Stone.
Pronouns — She/They.

I’m a self-taught photographer based in D.C., started around spring/summer 2016. My work ranges from portraits to events and architectural photography — shot on both film and digital.

My personal work is inspired by the drastic shifts the city’s gone through since 2016. Things that once were, and things that continue to grow from the heartbeat of Chocolate City. It’s also an expression — a release — of emotions that often feel too big for the flesh to hold.

I believe there’s an intimacy between the eye and the subject — and the final image is just the result of that connection. My work tends to feel sensual and gentle, often with a subtle, gloomy undertone.

My greatest muses come from my community. Their performances? Extraordinary. When I speak on intimacy in capturing my subjects — I’m talking about the energy, the comfort, the freedom of expression. They never misinterpret the vision I’m bringing to life.
