Peace. My name is Amber / Stony / Stone (she/they) — a self-taught photographer based in Washington, D.C., shooting since spring 2016.
My work ranges from portraits to events and architectural photography, shot on both film and digital. My personal work is inspired by the drastic shifts the city has gone through — things that once were, and things that continue to grow from the heartbeat of Chocolate City.
I believe there's an intimacy between the eye and the subject. The final image is just the result of that connection. My greatest muses come from my community — their energy, their comfort, their freedom of expression.

Film is a timeless form of photography to me that requires patience and knowledge of what it actually is. I took interest in it early 2016 the first 5 images are some of my first shots. My camera had water damage so those were the only ones that weren’t damaged. All of these photos range from 2016 to now (2020)
